There are many different species of animals that human beings share our world with. Some of these species are friendly, but some of them can cause serious harm to human beings if they are provoked or not treated properly. Bears are one of these creatures. If not treated properly, bears can be very dangerous to human beings. Luckily there is plenty of information on bears available today from a wide variety of sources that can help you in your interactions with bears.

Information on bears can be found in many places. The most common species of bear is the black bear. Black bears are found in many places throughout the world, including Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nepal, India, Bhutan and Burma. Males, for example usually weigh between 220 and 440 pounds and female bears usually weigh 110 and 275 pounds.

You need to know how to react in case of an encounter with a bear to avoid the risk of being harmed. Bears are not naturally inclined to attack humans but humans are sometimes mistaken for food or unknowingly provoke bears into attacking. Make sure that you do not leave any food out or lying around where it may be prone to attract the attention of bears in the area. You should also research to find out information on bears that live in the area you plan on camping or hiking in. Information on bears is very plentiful these days from a wide variety of sources so that you can understand and coexist peacefully with these gentle giants of nature.
